Hours are the catch: many clubs staff the kids room mornings and early evenings only, and the schedule shifts with the school year — call before your first visit.

Two questions worth asking on the phone: what hours the kids room is staffed, and whether childcare is included in the membership or billed per visit. Both differ even between clubs of the same chain.

Gyms with Childcare near Madison
Good to know
Which gyms have childcare?
Family-oriented clubs and community centers usually do — YMCA branches, Life Time, VASA, EOS and Chuze staff a kids room at most locations. Budget chains and boutique studios almost never do.
Is gym childcare free?
Rarely fully free. YMCAs often include it with a family membership; commercial clubs typically add it as a monthly upgrade or a small per-visit fee. Age limits and time caps (commonly two hours) apply almost everywhere.
